DVM, AVDS (Medical Director)

Dr. Justin Molnar

Dr. Molnar knew early on in life that he wanted to work with animals. He is so lucky to be able to do what he truly loves every day!

He began working at the Shinnecock Animal Hospital while attending college at Long Island University in Southampton. After many years of working as a Veterinary Technician his dream of going to Veterinary school came true. Dr. Molnar received his DVM upon completion of his clinical year at Michigan State University’s Teaching Hospital. During his clinical and academic veterinary career he has been nationally recognized by Pfizer, The American Animal Hospital Association, and the Glassen Foundation alike for outstanding achievement and excellence in the disciplines of anesthesiology, small animal internal medicine, surgery, and pharmacology.

Since joining the staff at Shinnecock Animal Hospital he has pursued interests in client education, and veterinary dentistry. He has become a recognized member of the American Veterinary Dental Society and has introduced the use of intra-oral digital dental radiography and oral surgery techniques to the practice. He has also studied Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (herbal medicine and acupuncture) under the guidance of the renowned Huisheng Xie DVM, Phd, MS.

Dr. Molnar is our hospitals Medical Director as well as the Medical Director for the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue. By being able to do this, it has given him the honor of learning about, and working with all kinds of different animals. Dr. Molnar is very passionate about all animals and has a huge soft spot for wildlife.

Outside of work his heart lies with his wife Amy and their two beautiful sons Brendyn and Conner. Their family is ardently involved with many different rescue groups, and shares their home with a menagerie of different rescue animals.
